Depression Disorders

Depression is a physical and mental condition in which a person feels that he is discouraged, unmotivated, sad, disinterested in life or hopeless in general. So depression disorders are the ailments that occur when someone is suffering from that state of hopelessness or discouragement.

Anxiety on the other hand is a general medical term used for several disorders that cause someone to be nervousness or having the desire to do something with an uncertain outcome accompanied with a feeling of worry or uneasiness about the imminent task or event.

Depression disorders and anxiety disorders are two different disorders, but people suffering from depression often experience symptoms that are similar to those of an anxiety disorder, such as nervousness, sluggish movement of body limbs, irritability, and sleeping problems and lack of concentration.

Anxiety or depression disorders have their own causes and their own emotional and behavioral symptoms. It is worthy to note that all these disorders whether anxiety or depression disorders can be cured using alpranax which is a drug that help the brain to function properly, removes muscle tension and other physical manifestations of stress in the body and helps the body to adapt and decrease the physical and mental signs of anxiety.

Comorbidity

Major depression disorders at most times co-occur with other psychiatric problems like anxiety and this is what is referred to as comorbidity. A survey carried out in the years 1990–92 on National Comorbidity Survey (US) reports that 51% of people suffering from major depression also suffered from a lifetime of anxiety. Anxiety symptoms are known to have major impacts on the course of suffering from a depressive illness, which slows down the recovery, increases the risk of a relapse, leads to greater disability and the patient has suicidal attempts.

Types of depression

There are three main types of depressive disorders which can occur with any of the anxiety disorders, they are major depression, dysthymia, and bipolar disorder.

Major depression – This depression disorder is characterized by the patient feeling very sever depressive mood that can go for period longer than two weeks. It involves at less than five of these symptoms - Persistent sad or  mood of emptiness, having mixed feelings of hopelessness and pessimism, restlessness and irritability, having low appetite that co-occurs with weight loss or overeating that co-occurs with weight gain, having decreased energy, high fatigue and feeling "slowed down". Some patients with this depression disorder may feel that their life is not worth living and they will attempt to commit suicide.
Dysthymia – This is a less severe but long-term and chronic form of depression disorder. It has symptoms that are similar to major depression. This disorder can manifest itself either as stress with or without irritability and mild anhedonia - which is inability to see or feel pleasure from most activities. People with this depression disorder might be thought of as the kind of people who are always seeing the glass as half empty.
Bipolar disorder – This depression disorder once called manic-depression and it is characterized by a mood cycle that shifts from periods of severe highs (mania) called “blues” or periods of mild highs (hypomania) to times when the patient feels severely low (depression).

Treatment

Psychotherapy – This is where the patient attends therapy sessions where the therapist changes how he views things, his feelings towards certain matters and this can be supplemented with medication. The therapies can be administered by a psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker or guidance counselor.
Medication – In this case the patient is given antihistamines, Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors or Alpranax. Alpranax is a medicine that can be used to treat depression disorders because it reduces panic, irritability & tension.

Using Anti-anxiety Herbs to Manage Signs and Symptoms of Depression?

There are many signs and symptoms of depression. It is worth noting, however, that many of these signs and symptoms are things that are experienced by many individuals on a daily basis. This does not mean that all individuals experiencing these feelings once in a while are actually suffering from depression. Far from this, an individual having extreme levels of anxiety may find it difficult to function normally. This may necessitate the use of anti anxiety herbs to manage the condition. This does not necessarily mean that such an individual is suffering from depression. What matters is how frequent and intense the feelings are and how they affect the functioning of individuals.

Many signs and symptoms of depression affect one or several aspects of a persons’ life. There behaviours, emotional stability and thought patterns may be greatly affected. Many individuals suffering from depression experience emotional disturbances. Feelings of being overwhelmed, disappointed and completely apathetic to the reality are a common feature in such individuals. So intense are the feelings of anxiety that individuals living with depression are constantly in unstable emotional conditions. These symptoms can be managed by the use of conventional anti – anxiety drugs, which have a tranquilizing effect or natural remedies such as anti anxiety herbs, which reduce the level of anxiety.

Such depressive emotional states lead to signs and symptoms that affect the thought patterns of affected individuals. These include persistent thoughts of failure and inadequacy, self effacing thoughts and even suicidal thoughts, in severe cases. Since suicidal thought develop as a result of intense and longstanding feelings of stress and anxiety, effective use of anti anxiety herbs and other supplements can help in managing anxiety thus avoiding further degeneration of the condition.

Also, an individual’s behaviour may be affected in many ways. For instance, patients usually experience changes in their social behaviour. Many tend to avoid social engagements and retreat into a state of complete lack of interest in hobbies and other social activities. In other cases, individuals lose the ability to concentrate, remember things for long and make good decisions.

The last signs and symptoms of depression is its effect on the physical well being of individuals. These ranges from fatigue, listlessness and headaches to the more severe symptoms like sleep problems, drastic changes in body weight and changes in appetite. One important thing though, is that feelings of headache and grogginess may also result from the side effects of anti anxiety drugs. However, the use of non addictive remedies such as anti anxiety herbs and supplements such as alpranax eliminates such symptoms associated with ordinary tranquilizers.

In conclusion, there are many signs and symptoms of depression. Although many of them are general feelings that normal individuals may experience on occasions, there severity is what matters. Many of these signs and symptoms affect either one or several aspects of a normal individual. Individual behavioural patterns, physical functioning, emotional stability and thought processes may be affected. The severity of the symptoms, however, depends on whether an individual uses remedies to counter their effects. Although many of the symptoms may be severe, some of them, specifically those that affect emotional stability of individuals, may be remedied by use of anti anxiety herbs and other drugs.

Symptoms of Clinical Depression

Depression in all of its various forms is considered to be the most common type of mental disorder in the world today. It is estimated that approximately 340 million people around the globe are currently suffering from the symptoms of clinical depression. What is surprising is the high number of people who are never diagnosed, yet could significantly benefit from natural depression relief.

Everyone Is at Risk

During the course of the average person's life, we are all at risk of suffering from one or more of the symptoms of clinical depression, most if not all of which can be helped using some form of natural depression relief. While depression is far more prevalent in women, it also occurs in men. Approximately 25 percent of women and 10 percent of men are affected, among teenagers the number is estimated to be approximately 5 percent. Of these, the vast majority could overcome the disorder with regular use of some form of natural depression relief.

One of the most important steps which should be taken is to determine if you are suffering from situational depression or if you are truly exhibiting the symptoms of clinical depression. Situational depression is considered a normal reaction to events which are occurring around you. These can often be easily overcome with natural depression relief.

This form of depression can follow stressful events in your life, major illnesses or a death in your family, or the loss of a job. Experts suggest that instead of ignoring these feelings, you use natural depression relief techniques to help you work your way out of feeling depressed.

Clinical Depression Is More Severe

• Clinical depression on the other hand is a medical diagnosis with well defined symptoms. Among these are a sullen or sad mood, feelings of anxiety, guilt or hopelessness, changes in eating and sleeping habits, loss of interest in those things which were once pleasurable, fatigue, and a loss in your ability to concentrate. There are various forms of natural depression relief which can be used alone or in combination which can help.
• There are a number of known causes of clinical depression, many of which can stem from situational events such as a death in the family. The problem is that for a number of people the level of depression continues to escalate and will continue unabated for a long period of time. In the end if you do not seek help or make use of one or more types of natural depression relief, the depression begins to affect your overall mental health.

Current Thoughts and Natural Depression Relief

The mainstream current thought with regard to the causes of depression in the medical world is that it may stem from an imbalance within the chemistry of the brain. Sadly, most medical and psychiatric doctors believe the only way to treat the symptoms of clinical depression is with any one of a number of drugs, rather than turning to natural depression relief.

While it is entirely possible a chemical imbalance may be partially at fault, new research suggests clinical depression may also be the result of disordered biochemistry within the brain. Along with this, a growing number of experts in the field of mental disorders have begun to take a serious interest in a wide range of different types of natural depression relief. Among these are lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise. Many naturopathic doctors also recommend a number of natural supplements including B vitamins, SAMe, St, John's Wort, and fish oil, which is high in Omega 3 fatty acids. These can be combined with relaxation techniques such as meditation for one of the most complete and successful forms of natural depression relief available.

Prolonged anxiety can have more serious long term effects including; increased chances of stroke, emotional distraction and insomnia. It is therefore important to seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Though there are so many anxiety drugs treatments available in the market they have serious side effects which may also affect your day to day life. Addiction, dizziness, drowsiness and weight gain are the main side effects. This has raised the need for natural anxiety remedies. Natural anxiety remedies have fewer side effects and works effectively. For a long time Mind-body techniques have been the most popular natural anxiety remedies. However, they face various challenges as they are very involving and therefore require a lot of commitment.  The emergence of so many natural anxiety remedies is meant to solve the existing problems but surprisingly this has brought a lot of confusion.

For any anti-anxiety to be effective it must utilize the body neurochemistry, this similarly applies to all natural anxiety remedies.

B complex vitamins

This is another Alpranax natural ingredient that distinguishes it from the other natural anxiety remedies. It is responsible for healthy functioning of the brain,  it makes the brain change from an exited state to a calm state.

L-thiamine

It is unique in that it’s able to cross the blood –brain barrier and therefore works directly on the brain cells to reduce stress. This unique property places Alpranax way above the other natural anxiety remedies.

Anxiety Cures

Anxiety cures are the forms or ways in which anxiety patients can be healed fully off the ailment or the symptoms brought to unnoticeable levels. There are many forms of treatment for generalized anxiety disorder - acronym (GAD) – and these forms of treatment are psychological therapy, medication, herbal treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy and a combination of therapies.

Depending on the form of anxiety you may have someone may be treated using any one of them or using a combination of the two. Research has shown that GAD has found that the benefits of psychological treatment lasts the longest, but no single treatment is best for everyone.

This is where alpranax comes in as an anxiety cure. The medicine gently eases anxiety because it has a calming soothing formula. This drug has been proven through the research that has been carried out that someone stays focused because it does not cloud the mind. The ingredients in Alpranax affect the patient’s brain by altering the neurochemistry that causes anxiety and stress. Alpranax has been scientifically proven to also reduce panic, irritability & tension. With these advantages on its side alpranax can be used as a supplement medicine to these anxiety cure methods.

Cognitive behavioral therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a form of anxiety psychological therapy treatment which involves a therapist changing the way the patient thinks. The patients are asked to explain how they feel towards certain things or occurrences that have caused them to have the anxious behavior. Alpranax can be used to ease and calm the brain without making it dull in the therapy sessions.

Medication

Alpranax can be best classified as a medicinal drug that helps anxiety patients to deal with their anxiety and other psychological ailments. The drug has five main ingredients, namely

B-Complex Vitamins – The body’s B-Vitamin levels start to decrease when the body suffers from anxiety and stress. Alpranax works to replenish these crucial B-Vitamin levels because these vitamins help the brain to function properly.
Valerian – This ingredient is an extract from the Valerian root. It deals with removing muscle tension and other physical manifestations of stress in the body.
Ashwagandha – It helps the body to adapt and to decrease the physical and mental signs of anxiety.
L-Theanine – This amino acid interacts with the brain to keep stress down.
GABA – This is a neurotransmitter that acts as a bridge between excitation and inhibition in the brain. A reduced level of this neurotransmitter leads directly to excessive mental excitation, which is also known as anxiety. Increased GABA levels reduce anxiety.
Other medications used to cure anxiety are either long term or short term depending on the different types of medication, length of treatment, side effects and possible interactions with other medicines. These medicines are categorized below.

Long-term medication includes:

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) – They are a type of antidepressants that increase the level of the chemical called serotonin in the brain. They can be taken on a long-term basis.
Venlafaxine – It is a different type of antidepressant. It increases the amount of serotonin and noradrenaline in your brain which helps restore the chemical imbalance that at times causes GAD.
Pregabalin - This is medication is known as an anticonvulsant and it is used to treat ailments like epilepsy. It has also been found to be very useful in treating anxiety.

Short-term medication includes:

• Antihistamines
• Benzodiazepines
• Buspirone

What Are the Symptoms of Depression?

Depression disorders are far more common than the average person is likely to be aware of. In the US alone the NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health), estimates that 6.7 percent of Americans over the age of 18 will experience at least one of the many different depression disorders in their lifetime. The symptoms of depression can vary dramatically from one person to another based on the level and type of depression disorders they are suffering from.

Depression Disorders Defined

• Depression may be one of the most misused words in the English language to describe how we feel. Chances are good that when someone tells you they are feeling "depressed" it generally means they are having a bad day, not that they are suffering from one of the different types of depression disorders.
• True depression disorders affect approximately 25 percent of all women and 10 percent of all men. While many will only have one episode, others may suffer from many episodes over the course of their lives. More importantly, each episode can be different and may manifest as symptoms of different depression disorders each time.

What Are the Most Common Symptoms of Depression Disorders?

• One of the biggest problems with the symptoms of the different depression disorders is that many people may be depressed and not even realize it. In cases such as this, a person may realize that something is not right in their world, but have no clear idea exactly what it is. The symptom of depression disorders can be broken down into two main categories. These are the core symptoms and the more common symptoms, meaning those that most depression disorders tend to display.
• The two main or core symptoms of depression disorders are a pervading feeling of sadness or hopelessness. This may or may not be accompanied by crying. The other is the complete loss of interest in family, friends, and any activity which used to bring pleasure.
• Among the common symptoms seen in most depression disorders problems with sleeping patterns, loss of appetite, fatigue, sudden growth in appetite (binge or comfort eating), feeling agitated, and a sudden overwhelming interest in death and dying. This latter may or may not be the thought of dying or of suicide.

Are You Suffering from One of the Different Depression Disorders?

If you go to your doctor to see if you are suffering from one of the different depression disorders, he will ask you to fill out a questionnaire or ask you to verbally answer a series of questions concerning the various symptoms of depression. If you suffer from at least half of the common symptoms associated with depression and one of the core symptoms, you may be diagnosed as suffering from depression. At the same time these symptoms must have been present on most days over the course of at least two weeks and be interfering with your ability to function normally.

The Latest forms of Treatment

There are a number of relatively new holistic forms of treatment for depression disorders, most of which are well worth trying before you submit to taking pharmaceutical medications and risking the numerous side effects associated with them. Many people are finding eating a Mediterranean diet helps to deal with depression. Experts believe the olive oil acts as a natural anti-depressant by increasing your levels of serotonin.

The use of Omega 3 nutritional supplements has been found to help with depression disorders. However they are not recommended for those with anxiety disorders. A recent study by Zarate CA Jr., Singh JB, Carlson PJ, et al; and published in Arch Gen Psychiatry, August 2006 shows that the use of Ketamine may help treat those who are suffering from depression disorders that resist other forms of treatment. In fact most of the natural treatments have much higher success rates and have few if any side effects, none of which are known to be life threatening.
